Her estate planning practice includes the preparation of wills, testamentary and family trusts, enduring powers of attorney and advance care directives. Joan’s holistic approach to estate planning and asset protection involves the use of trusts and other alternatives and ensuring superannuation issues are appropriately addressed.
Joan also provides advice and assistance in relation to all aspects of deceased estates; from the simplest and most straightforward probate application to full administration of many highly complicated and involved estates.
Joan is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, a member of the Research and Ethics Committee of St Andrew’s Hospital, a Board member of Ngeringa Arts and of another prescribed private foundation and a member of the Disciplinary Tribunal of Tennis SA. She is also the former the chair of the Law Society’s Succession Law Committee and a former lecturer at the Flinders University Practical Legal Training course.
